Olivier Pouey manages the employment law department. He holds a master’s degree in law and applied employment relations (“Master Droit et pratique des relations de travail”), which he studied under the aegis of professor Bernard Teyssier, and a degree in comparative European and international employment law. Olivier POUEY was sworn in at the Lyon Bar in 1995.
After working at several international law firms, including Landwell, Ernst & Young and Fidal, and setting up his own firm in 2004, he and his team joined CARLER Avocats in 2009.
The Employment Law department consists of 10 lawyers who advise and represent businesses, in particular the subsidiaries of foreign groups as well as regulated undertakings and local authorities, in all issues relating to employment law. This includes: economic developments and business strategy (takeovers, restructurings), health and safety at work (workplace accidents and work-related illnesses, psycho-social risks), European employment law and international institutions, supplementary social protection cover, save-as-you-earn schemes and pension schemes, profit-sharing schemes, employees’ legal status in, public/private law, discrimination/labour-related criminal offences, information and communication technology and the right to work.
